The Longman Picture Dictionary is specially designed for use in the classroom or at home and can be enjoyed equally by the child working alone or with others.

The dictionary is divided into two parts. The first part is a full-colour picture dictionary. The 1400 words are listed alphabetically and grouped according to topic. The second part is a complete alphabetical list of all the words in the dictionary with page references. The beautiful illustrations with interwoven storylines and visual twists allow the pictures to be used time and time again for a variety of language activities such as storytelling and pair work.
